Carbon steel knives requires a little more maintenance than stainless steel, but their performance is generally beyond most stainless. Taking care of them is easy, general rule is to keep them clean and dry. Store them in a clean cotton cloth rather than the sheath for long periods of time. A little gun oil or blade wax from time to time will keep them looking great for years.
